The most important part of your online  course (apart from you) is your dedicated tutor. Every LearnOnline tutor has extensive academic experience and have taught A level Physics in the classroom as well as online. During your enrolment onto the course, you will be assigned your tutor who will support you for up to 36 months during your studies. Practical Endorsement: Workshop Assessment

When you book onto the LearnOnline A level + Practical Endorsement programme you reserve a workshop space with BioGrad^TM Exams.

By enrolling onto this course you agree for us to share your contact details with BioGrad^TM  for them to contact you and arrange payment (£799), dates and accommodation (additional fee). LearnOnline will share the learner details with BioGrad^TM the August prior to year of exams as stated on the enrolment form.

BioGrad^TM A level Practical Endorsements are monitored by the awarding bodies and they work with you to ensure you receive the very best experience and result.

In order to achieve a pass in your practical endorsement workshop, students will need to have met the following expectations:

• Follows written procedures
  • Correctly follows instructions to carry out the experimental techniques or procedures.
• Applies investigative approaches and methods when using instruments and equipment
  • Correctly uses appropriate instrumentation, apparatus and materials (including ICT) to carry out investigative activities, experimental techniques and procedures with minimal assistance or prompting.
  • Carries out techniques or procedures methodically, in sequence and in combination, identifying practical issues and making adjustments when necessary.
  • Identifies and controls significant quantitative variables where applicable, and plans approaches to take account of variables that cannot readily be controlled.
  • Selects appropriate equipment and measurement strategies in order to ensure suitably accurate results.
• Safely uses a range of practical equipment and materials
  • Identifies hazards and assesses risks associated with these hazards when carrying out experimental techniques and procedures in the lab or field.
  • Uses appropriate safety equipment and approaches to minimise risks with minimal prompting.
  • Identifies safety issues and makes adjustments when necessary.
• Makes and records observations
  • Makes accurate observations relevant to the experimental or investigative procedure.
  • Obtains accurate, precise and sufficient data for experimental and investigative procedures and records this methodically using appropriate units and conventions.

  • Sources of information are cited demonstrating that research has taken place, supporting planning and conclusions.

Location

BioGrad^TM Exams is located at Liverpool Science Park, Liverpool, Merseyside.

Dates

The learner will be expected to attend the workshops between January and April in the same year as final exams. It is not advised to attend them sooner than this as the learner should have a good amount of theory knowledge prior to attending.

Pandemic dependent, learners will be expected to arrive the Sunday prior to the start of the workshop and receive a COVID-19 test.

Booking Exams

BioGrad^TM have a list of known exam centres across the UK who will accept the science practical endorsement results, which means that the learner can choose an exam centre and book with them directly.

If the learner is unable to find an exam centre within the local area Pembrokeshire College can make the entry with the awarding body and accept the practical results from BioGrad^TM choosing the Transferred Candidate option so that the learner can sit exams at a centre close to home.
