Entry Guidelines
Before studying any A-level online, we recommend that you have the equivalent of a GCSE (UK qualification) in English at grade C or above, or IELTS grade 4. Ideally that you have achieved the same subject or similar GCSE at grade C or equivalent. If you are based outside the UK we can advise on how your specific country qualifications relate to our entry guidelines.
Examination arrangements
If you are an international student we have made arrangements with the British Council offices around the world to host the A-level examinations that occur in May/June yearly. We will provide you with as much help as we can to help you identify the places closest to you where you can sit the necessary examinations. You can look for your closest British Council office by visiting britishcouncil.org/new/articles/maps
Please Note: You will need to register for your exams approx 3 months prior to your exam dates.
Practical work
To study AS and A2 level Biology, Physics and Chemistry generally requires some element of practical work to really help understand the subject matter and there is usually a practical examination. However for those studying outside the UK, undertaking the practical work is difficult to undertake. That is why we have chosen the Edexcel International syllabus for our students living outside the UK. The Edexcel international syllabus has a written examination about practical experimentation rather any actual practical work.
However to really get the most from the course we recommend students attend our week-long intensive practical workshops here at our base in the UK for each science subject taken. The intensive practical workshops are planned to run four times a year, February, April, July/August and October. The intensive practical workshops will prepare students for the written practical examination and for entry into university.
